Tuition & Fees – Summer 2026

Application Fee (non-refundable)

Regular application fee:: US$80 (December 1, 2025 – February 23, 2026 JST)
Late application fee:: US$100 (On and after February 24, 2026 JST)

(Note: Late application will be accepted only when spots are available.)

Program Fee: US$8,000

What is included in the program fee:
- Tuition (US$6,000)
- Books and course materials
- Housing (homestay fee* and hotel accommodation fee)
- Culture classes and extracurricular activities fee*
- Transportation on weekdays between HIF and host family’s house
- Pocket Wi-Fi rental fee

* The homestay fee is ¥142,000 in total, which includes accommodation (furnished private room) and two meals a day (breakfast and dinner).
* Participants are responsible for paying transportation costs to participate in culture classes and extracurricular activities.

Out-of-Pocket Expenses

- Airfare
- Medical insurance*
- Meals (daily lunch)
- Daily commodities (toiletries, etc.)
- Local transportation on weekends
- Local transportation to participate in culture classes and extracurricular activities
- Miscellaneous personal expenses

Please note that the above listed items are not exhaustive.

*HIF requires all participants to obtain medical insurance to cover possible loss, illness or accidents for the duration of the program.
